Its been awhile...

"City Center"
12x12 acrylic on panel

Have I been neglecting my blog?  Most definitely! Thanks for hanging in there with me as I try to manage needing 25 hours in a day.

I haven't posted since March and a lot has been happening since that time; I went to the Plein Air Convention held in San Diego in April. What a blast! I was able to meet so many artists that have been internet friends! What an energizing experience! I am especially grateful to meet up with one of my favorite podcasters savvypainter.com 's Antrese Wood. If you are an artist or just want to listen to how artists make their work, Antrese conducts very interesting and thought provoking interviews.

I have been painting for a couple of galleries and doing commissions. You can currently see my work at Studio Gallery  and Valley Art Gallery. Also, I post my latest works on Instagram. I have to say its one of my favorite social medias to use...of course. Its visual and I am an artist, right? You can find me by this ...
@kaethe_bealer

Hope you are having a great summer! Until next time....

  2. A wonderful painting of a complex scene with some daunting perspective -- so well done, as always, Kaethe!

    Indeed, I have missed getting your blog posts via my email, but did track down some of your new work on Instagram. I couldn't comment there, however, but all stellar stuff. Sounds as if you've been busy, but having a blast, too.

    (Like you, I've been doing gallery pieces and some commissions, so I'm taking a hiatus from DPW. I still follow my blogging pals, though.)

    1. That means a lot Helene! It's been a "good" busy! I plan on keeping a connection with DPW and participate when it's right for me. I believe they helped so much in introducing me to the Internet world of art!

  3. You can paint anything and paint it so well. This is great. I notice how well you captured the brilliant sunlight and the wonderful perspective. Not easy.
    The nice thing about the blog is it is more of a personal interchange between you and your followers. I really enjoyed reading about what you have been up to.
    I have followed SavyPainter for quite some time. Antrese is a really good interviewer and I enjoy her selection of artists to interview.
    So Instagram it is, but I do hope you pop over to your blog now and again for a little more of a personal catch-up. Cheers!
